Katrina St John
Interim Worship Song Leader
Katrina grew up attending Raleigh Baptist Church where she learned what it meant to be a Christian and professed her belief and faith in Jesus Christ as God's Son and her Savior at the age of 6. She was later baptized when she was 9 years old. She began participating in music ministry at a young age singing in the children's and youth choirs at church. She was asked to be part of the first youth praise team at Raleigh Baptist when she was 15 years old and has enjoyed leading worship ever since.
In 1998, she felt God calling her to lead worship and took the leap changing her expected college major from Engineering to Music. She believed (and still believes) it was worth the risk to obey God and follow His lead.
After graduating from Union University in 2004, she accepted the Music Ministry Assistant position at Raleigh Baptist Church and was voted in as the Music Ministry Associate a few months later. She served as Music Ministry Associate for 3 years. Since her time as Music Ministry Associate at Raleigh Baptist Church/Bartlett Hills Baptist Church, she has continued to use the voice God gave her in many ministries including Praise Teams, Choirs, Kids Beach Club, Musicals, Worship Leader at Women's Events, Guest singing at Senior events, WMU events and English as Second Language Christmas parties. In addition to her roles in ministry, Katrina has also been a Private Voice Teacher and a Choir Clinician at Covington High School.
Katrina loves singing praises to God and encouraging others to do so. She is grateful for the opportunity to serve Cherry Road Baptist Church as Interim Worship Leader and was honored to accept the position.
